Christmas storms and sunshine

The following story occurred in the Victorian Era during the political reform.
Two families owners of newspaper companies have a lot of problems and conflicts since also live in the same building and deal with the same work space, being rivals for the gain of power.

During Christmas the Cat of Mrs Jenkins
ate Mr. Hodgson food, making him fight with Mr. Jenkins and making the whole mood of the story change and making it uncomfortable. The wife’s of the two of them Mrs. Jenkins and Mrs. Hodgson have forever hate each other since each one of them envy the other, one reason is that Mrs. Hodgson is capable of having babies and Mrs. Jenkins doesn’t. The story starts getting interesting when the baby of Mrs. Hodgson gets ill and this illness makes that Mr and Mrs. Jenkins gathered together with them for help and collaboration, since the baby was very ill and Mrs.Hodgson needed someone that stayed by her side no matter what making the both of the families shared and accept their differences and gathered together for Christmas dinner.
The author point of view or purpose or writhing this story was sort of letting know people that we have to accept or we should accept and shared our differences and being capable of having that value of citizenship and tolerance and also of solidarity. Being capable of letting aside what bothered of the one who is next to me and care about their problems and help him to overcome it, being capable of understand that each one of us live in the same world but with different purposes and missions.

Commitment is another value that we can find in this story, I can take of this two families the importance of a job and working hard to change and let a mark in this world and society, but also commitment in the way they act towards someone or things that are competition and that can threat them to do things that aren’t right.

The story also has  an especial message for the time of the year that occurred, the author in few words tries to express that sometime Christmas is the best time of the year to change and stay closer to the persons that really mean the most to you and that at some point are going to let a mark in your life and your way of behaving and thinking.

As a conclusion as my opinion this story as long and detailed as it is, makes a very important emphasis in forgiveness and respect, this two families show respected to one another and instead of making plans to end with their business and end with their happiness they just lived day by day, letting that those little problems passed by and not affected the way of going to work, of eating their food or treat other human being. The story also let a message in how we see ourself and if we are completely happy with the life we live and the things we do to keep going, for example in the story we have the Mrs. Jenkins and she is not really happy and comfortable with the life she live and he things she did and do, this is something that in an implicit way the author wants to transmit to everyone and is to accept who you are and do what your want no matter what, without thinking if you are going to be criticized or hated.

Love and forgive, share and accept and most of all take as a key in life that not always things are going to be our way but life itself is going to give you what you really deserve and want.
